My Uncle was James Luxton. (Private), Service number. 14626136, Essex Regt, 2nd Battalion.
He was killed on 10th August 1944, aged 19 and is named on your memorial - column 277.
Unfortunately, I do not have any stories to add about him as all the older generation of my family are no longer with us, but I have a copy of this photo which my Grandparents had and which was passed to, and treasured by, my dad. As far as I am aware, this is the only photo of him.
